Prayer - It works
Some years ago a mob confronted
Paul and Belle outside their home. Paul prayed, "Lord I am your servant. If
it is my time I am ready. If not, close the eyes of these men as you did of
old". Paul and Belle continued walking toward safety down the street toward
the hospital passing right through the men. When they were some distance past
them they heard one of the men say, "There they are, way down the street!
How did they get there?" God answered that prayer and Paul and Belle
arrived safely.
Our Missionaries
face opposition from religions
that have been entrenched for years. When God begins to work they begin to resist
by calculated threats to those who may be interested and directly to the
missionaries.
- Police and government officials who
are not fair or are seeking financial advantage.
- Discouragement when those
they work with give up or are unfaithful.
- When finances are tight and
there is so much to do, it is discouraging.
- The attitudes of people who
have no commitment to the Lord or the ministry.
- Division that creeps in through
disgruntled people. Some who are expecting handouts.
- Pressure on their families
when they are busy and the family needs are great.
Every missionary around the world faces
these kinds of problems. Your prayers count!
Please Pray!
Have Grace
Mission
come to your church!
In August of 1999 Eugene
Enns (Marsha) became the director of Grace Mission. The Enns' have been in
Christian ministry for 39 years. They spent 14 years in Canada before coming to
Grace Mission in church planting. Eugene and Marsha are available to present the
ministry to churches or groups and provide a Bible teaching ministry related to
reaching the world with the Gospel. They employ some creative ways of teaching
churches the value of having Nationals involved in the ministry in foreign
fields. Their burden is to reach lost people and desire that Grace Mission major
on this.

Financial Support It is our desire that Gods' money
is spent in the most conscience and honest way possible. We have a Board of
Directors in Canada and the United States that looks over the books and
business of the Mission. A local accountant conducts an annual audit. We
are members of the ECFA in the US and the CCCC in Canada, agencies, which
have been established to help maintain high standards of financial
accountability. Our foreign field directors turn in a monthly report of all
monthly transactions. We inspect the progress of construction and use of
funds on each visit to the field. On these trips we will seek to photograph
and report to you on the aspect of the work which you have supported. (In
some cases this is not totally possible due to locations and time constraints.)
The following are board-approved items that we are seeking to raise support for:
 |
Pastors
Seminar Training - $500 per quarter
brings training to the Haitian pastors. |
 |
Leaders
Support - Personal support for the Lopez, Perez and Romeus
families |
 |
Future
Leaders - Training for National Pastors in Haiti |
 |
Food
for the Hungry - Paul helps the starving he deems most needy
with the money available from this fund. |
 |
Student
Support - $18 per month supplies a teacher, materials and
uniform for one child. There is a need for many more $18 per month
supporters. |
 |
Special
Projects - Vehicles, equipment, education and training. The
Mission owns 5 vehicles which take constant maintenance and replacement. |
 |
Home
Base Personnel - The Enns and Schmidt families. When our
personal support is not complete, the General Fund must make up the
difference. Home personnel keep the field operating. There is a constant
need for friends to be involved with this support. |
